Asia-Pacific Social Research (APSR) is a fully open-access journal, which means that all articles are freely and immediately accessible to readers worldwide upon publication. We believe in the free dissemination of academic knowledge and are committed to removing barriers to access and reuse.
All content published in APSR is distributed under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International (CC BY 4.0) license, which permits unrestricted use, distribution, and reproduction in any medium, provided that the original work is properly cited.

Article Processing Charge (APC)
To support the costs of editorial management, peer review, digital archiving, and long-term open access hosting, APSR charges an Article Processing Charge (APC) of 499 USD per accepted manuscript.
However, to encourage submissions and support early contributors during the launch phase, the APC is fully waived for all articles submitted and accepted during the journal’s first year of publication.
Authors will be notified of any applicable APC after acceptance and before publication. Waiver and discount requests beyond the first year may be considered for authors from low- and middle-income countries or in cases of financial hardship.
No Subscription or Access Fees
Readers do not need to register, pay, or log in to access APSR articles. The journal does not charge subscription fees or impose embargoes. Our goal is to promote unrestricted academic exchange for the benefit of the global scholarly community.
