• Asia-Pacific Social Research (APSR) operates as an open-access journal committed to providing free and immediate access to scholarly content worldwide. To cover the costs associated with editorial management, peer review, digital archiving, and long-term online hosting, APSR applies an Article Processing Charge (APC) to accepted manuscripts.
  • 1. Article Processing Charge (APC)
    • The standard APC for APSR is USD 499 per accepted article.
    • This fee covers all costs related to publication, including:
    • Editorial handling and peer review management
    • Professional copyediting and typesetting
    • DOI registration and indexing
    • Permanent online hosting and archiving
  • 2. APC Waiver and Discounts
    • To support researchers during the journal’s launch phase, APSR waives all APC fees for articles accepted within the first year of publication.
    • Authors from low-income or lower-middle-income countries may apply for partial or full waivers after the first year.
    • Requests for waivers or discounts should be submitted to the editorial office prior to submission or upon acceptance and will be evaluated on a case-by-case basis.
  • 3. Payment Terms
    • Authors will receive an invoice only after their manuscript has been accepted for publication.
    • Payments are to be made prior to final publication.
    • Accepted payment methods will be detailed in the invoice and may include bank transfer, PayPal, or credit card.
  • 4. No Submission or Access Fees
    • APSR does not charge any fees for manuscript submission or peer review.
    • Readers can access all published articles free of charge, without any registration or subscription.
