Asia-Pacific Social Research (APSR) welcomes original, high-quality manuscripts that advance knowledge in the field of social sciences, with a particular focus on the Asia-Pacific region. Before submitting, authors are encouraged to carefully read the following guidelines to ensure a smooth review and publication process.
1. Manuscript Types
We accept the following article types:
Research Articles (6,000–10,000 words): Empirical or theoretical studies
Review Articles (6,000–10,000 words): Comprehensive reviews of the literature
Case Studies (3,000–6,000 words): In-depth analysis of a single case or comparative cases
Short Communications (2,000–3,500 words): Brief reports or early-stage findings
Book Reviews (1,000–2,000 words): Reviews of recently published academic books
All word counts include references, tables, and figures.
2. Formatting Requirements
Manuscripts must be written in English and submitted as a Word document (.doc or .docx).
Use APA 7th Edition for citations and references.
Double-spaced, 12-point Times New Roman font.
Include page numbers and line numbers.
Figures and tables should be embedded in the text, not submitted separately.
A structured abstract (150–250 words) and 3–6 keywords are required.
3. Authorship and Contributions
All listed authors must have significantly contributed to the research and writing. Changes to authorship after submission must be approved by all co-authors and justified to the editorial board.
4. Ethics and Consent
Research involving human participants must include ethical approval or informed consent.
Authors must disclose any potential conflicts of interest.
The journal follows COPE guidelines for ethical publishing and will investigate misconduct including plagiarism, falsification, and redundant publication.
5. Peer Review Process
All submissions undergo double-blind peer review by at least two independent reviewers.
Average review time: 4–6 weeks
Editors may request revisions before a final decision is made.
